DESCRIPTION

Also called Cathedral Windows, the Peacock Plant is a beautiful tropical houseplant known for its exquisite feathered effect of contrasting green and purplish-red colours from the middle of the leaf to the outer edges. It has the elegance and splendour of a Peacock’s tail, hence the name.

Calatheas enjoy humidity in their natural climate. You can try and raise the humidity level at home by misting the plant or seating the pot on a tray of clean pebbles with shallow water inside. It also loves moisture and needs damp soil at all times. Water the plant when the soil starts to feel dry to the touch. It is best to place the Peacock Plant under medium, indirect light.

When new leaves of the Peacock Plant grow, they are rolled up and show off their pinkish-red undersides making it more colourful and vibrant.

Important to know: As plants are natural products, form, pattern and colour will vary.
