It is tolerant of drought, low-light and neglect. In a NASA study, ZZ plant was also found to be specifically proficient at removing copious amounts of toxins in the air.
ZZ plant stems grow in an elegant, wand-like shape that starts thick and bulbous at the base and then tapers to a point. Along the stem are plump, oval-shaped leaves. The whole plant has a glossy, waxy coating that makes it look artificial from a distance.
Care for ZZ plant is simple and basic. Place it in low to bright indirect light and only water when it’s fully dry, usually once every two weeks.
