ABOUT GLAZED TERRACOTTA PLANTERS
Glazed Terracotta pots are a development of the traditional material used for plant pots. Terracotta is made from clay that is fired at lower temperatures than other types of ceramics, making it ‘breathable’.
It will allow water and a certain amount of air to pass through, which aids evaporation of moisture from the soil, decreasing the chance of root rot. Glazing is added for design and to add waterproofing to parts of the pot.
